CSD Height-Adjustable UV Printer for Electrical Cabinet Doors and Enclosures

UV direct printing continues to feature in industrial equipment development. On October 21, 2025, Mimaki announced the UJF-7151 plusII e flatbed UV inkjet printer, adding another equipment option for industrial product printing.
For electrical cabinet manufacturers, printing applications can involve both flat door panels and enclosures with greater depth. Equipment selection therefore requires consideration of the printing area, workpiece height, and positioning of the target surface relative to the printheads.
The CSD UV printer addresses this application with a height-adjustable work platform for direct printing on electrical cabinet doors and enclosures.
An Adjustable Platform for Different Workpiece Heights
According to CSD’s product documentation, the CSD-2514-800 features a 2500 × 1400 mm aluminum alloy platform with 600 mm of platform height adjustment. Dedicated lifting controls allow operators to adjust the platform position to suit the workpiece.
For electrical cabinet printing, this arrangement allows the relative height between the workpiece and the printing assembly to be adjusted. Suitability for a particular door panel or enclosure depends on its dimensions, geometry, positioning, and intended print location.
White and Color Printing with LED UV Curing
The standard configuration includes two EPSON I1600U printheads: one for white ink and one for color ink. The documented printing process supports simultaneous white and color printing, with dual water-cooled LED UV curing lamps.
Potential electrical cabinet applications include text, identification graphics, and other artwork on door and enclosure surfaces. Actual output should be confirmed through sample testing using the intended substrate, surface coating, artwork, and print settings.
Collision Protection and Ink Monitoring
The product documentation lists carriage and printhead collision protection, together with ink-level monitoring and low-ink alerts.
Electrical cabinet components may include folded edges, openings, or protruding features. Before printing, operators should check workpiece stability, confirm clearance along the printing path, and set an appropriate distance between the printheads and the target surface.
Confirming Suitability with Actual Samples
Platform adjustment is one consideration in electrical cabinet UV printing; surface compatibility is another. Ink adhesion can vary between metal substrates and coating systems. Cleaning, primer, or other surface preparation requirements should therefore be established through sample testing.
The CSD provides a height-adjustable platform option for direct printing on electrical cabinet doors and enclosures. Manufacturers can contact CSD with workpiece dimensions, surface details, and artwork requirements to discuss equipment suitability and sample testing.
